Hyperhidrosis

(Excessive Sweating)

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is abnormally excessive sweating that is not necessarily related to heat or exercise. Uncontrolled sweating can occur on different parts of the body such as face, hands, underarms and feet.

Treatment

Botulinum Toxin type A is used in a series of small injections to block nerve signals responsible for sweating.  These injections stop the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. A reduction in sweating is normally noticed within 4 weeks and can be effective for up to 7 months. To find out more information contact Peninsula Skin Co. or email info@peninsulaskinco.com.au
